I would feel proud and sad at the same time. It's really great to have acquaintances and friends in the armed forces, but I'm so scared for their safety. Defending your country and helping those in need in foreign lands is a very selfless and honorable thing and something to be proud of and bring dignity to your own life and your familiy's. But still, please think deeply about it, your life will be at constant risk and those who care about you will worry immensely.

Then again we can spontaneously combust at any moment.

So marine or no, live life to the fullest.

well no cuz im not THAT sensitive XD but i'll still be sad ...i have another friend that went to military and i havent heard from him for a few years now...and i miss him a lot

i've been 'thinking deeply' about it for close to 10 years... but more so, recently. i know i'm not ready yet. but i'm working on getting ready, and by that time, maybe i'll have figured out if it's the 'right' thing.
